Cross-Genre

Adventures to Astound is set in an expansive universe where your characters will start their heroic career helping people across a thriving city and eventually find themselves in space bound adventures or even dimension hoping. Modeled after some of our favorite comic universes, players will find themselves interacting with or even playing as: wizards of the highest order, masked vigilantes, aliens, inter dimensional cyborg mercenaries, and an array of creatures straight from your darkest fantasies and strangest science fiction.

 
 
 

 
 

No Class

We’ve abandoned the rigid class system of the classic RPGs to allow players to create and progress their characters in a completely unique way. Rather than following a linear progression path that a Character Class would offer, Adventures to Astound gives players the option to choose between any of the hundreds of abilities between the four Power Sources: Physical, Magical, Technological, Genetic. Powers are not the only thing that makes a hero so before players get to set up an arsenal of abilities for their character, they will need to flush out their character from the choices in the Origins sections: Location, Species, Occupation, and Headquarters. Along with each players own personal creative touches the amount of possible unique characters is limitless.

Dynamic Combat

To create truly unforgettable fights while playing Adventures to Astound, we decided to change up the generic turn based system with an additional group based attack style. While it does add more pressure to the Overseer (game master), our Momentum Combat system rewards a group’s teamwork and cooperation with a more satisfying string of attacks instead of the constant slinky process of: Attack-Roll-Describe; Attack- Roll-Describe; etc.. Along with our Momentum combat system, players have the added challenge of managing or maintaining their own Power Source specific Energy System. These factors along with the multitude of enemy types to fight against create a truly Dynamic Combat system.

 
 

 
 

Development

We are currently in the Local Testing Phase: meaning I am testing Adventures to Astound with trusted family and friends.

Though the next stage will be the Strategic Public Test Phase: meaning a group of interested players who are located in or around my area will be welcome to meet on one of our public test games. Those who are interested in being contacted about possible test dates and location feel free to submit the following form. When public test phase begins you will receive email updates about possible dates and times for testing.
